Dragonball: Legends Arise Prelude

I know... I KNOW! I'm taking a name from one of the suggested names of the game and I apologize... I just really like it. With that said, credit is given to Luigi for the name of this Fan Fiction.

And now for the needs.

So, please, bare in mind that I'm still currently working on this story. It may seem a little short right now and that's because idea's are still hitting me. I'm going to try and make each chapter a little long (With the exception of this prelude, of course). The timeline of this story is going to take place while Dragonball Z and GT are still happening. It's like an alternate story of the one that everyone loved so much, learning about a few Saiyans that actually were smart and left the planet before it was destroyed as Bardock had so desperately tried to warn everyone.

Prelude to an Alternate Story

There were once two separate races on Planet Vegeta; the barbaric Saiyans and the highly intelligent Tuffles, an advanced, scientific race. The Tuffles and the Saiyans fought a civil war, but the Saiyans were ultimately victorious thanks to their incredible power and ability to turn into their Oozaru forms. Over the years they also learned how to use the Tuffle's advanced equipment and become somewhat smarter and less barbaric, although they still lusted for fighting and destruction.

At some unknown time following the Saiyan victory, the planet was conquered or annexed by Frieza's empire and the Saiyans, like many other races, were drafted to serve as soldiers in Frieza's military. Because of the Saiyans innate strength and penchant for violence, they were considered to be useful mercenaries and assisted in the conquering of many planets, or if assignment called for, eradication of the planet's population. Even Saiyan children were considered powerful enough to conquer some of the weaker planets, such as Earth.

Eventually, seeing how quickly some of the more gifted Saiyan Warriors were gaining power through battle, Frieza grew concerned with the potential of the Saiyan race and thought that they would grow strong enough to face him or even become the fabled Super Saiyans, able to defeat him in battle. So the warlord destroyed Planet Vegeta, almost eradicating the entire Saiyan race.

Only a few known Saiyans remained after the destruction of their planet. Goku, Raditz, Nappa, Prince Vegeta, Broly, Paragus, and Turles were all off-world at the time, thus evading death. However, an unknown small amount of Saiyans, heeding Bardock's warnings about Frieza's betrayal, had escaped in a few spare spacepods undetected to an unknown, small planet which was inhabited by a species of Wolves. These Saiyans were able to re-build some of their race with some of the technology that the Tuffles had created and living off this new planet.

Many years have passed by since the destruction of their homeworld and this new generation of Saiyans had grown in numbers at an astounding rate. Since Frieza nor Cooler had seem to find them yet in this amount of time, the Saiyans were confident enough that they would be able to defend their new homeworld if it were ever to be attacked again. Since they were both smarter and stronger, they've built a numerous amount of Training Facilities with the technology that they had while also getting used to the gravity of the new planet.

With the tables set, this story focuses on a young Saiyan boy named Hemlock and his friend, Enacra. Both young and powerful potential Saiyan Warriors...

So, this ends the prelude to my story. Chapter 1 will be made and done as quick as I can if time allows it. Hope the prelude got you guys hyped up! Tell me guys what you think of it so far. =)
