Okay. I'm desperate.
I need some suggestions to improve the overall playability of FTHA.
First lets get some things straight.
1. I'm not looking for character suggestions.
2. I'm not looking for map suggestions.
3. I'm not looking for item suggestions.
What I'm looking for is suggestions about the actual game play.
Things like: movement, interface readability/usability, etc.
More specific things include:
- Maybe some more server options for the host.
- More ways to deal with having a "host" that isn't the actual host.(This is already happening, there just might be a better way for me to deal with it)
- Suggestions on how I could teach the AI more things like strategy, I've also been thinking about letting them hide.
- I've been thinking about different ways to deal with hiding/shaking besides pressing a button. Maybe something that wouldn't slow down game play as much.
-Another thing of course is efficiency. The less lag that the game creates for itself, the better. Because, I can't always be doing nothing on my computer while people play.
I would post this on my BYOND blog, but I don't have the money right now to be able to have one =(.
I've had some free time lately, due to being sick, and I'm trying to catch up on some of my programming skills.
Working on FTHA again, would probably help that quite a bit. I'd like to get better before I start programming a new game,
which I know I've promised other games before, but I definitely plan on going through with this idea. I'm already well on my way to filling up a notebook with design ideas about the game. But don't plan on seeing anything to do with it until much later, I don't want to ruin my drive to build it by telling everyone here that I'm building it =D.
Well I hope someone out there that just may read this will have some insightful Ideas to improve FTHA and help it become a more polished game. I love you guys for all the support in the past and hopefully for support in the future.
